-Minimum of two years' experience cooking.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
-Previous experience in cooking, culinary arts, or other related fields
-Knowledge of kitchen equipment and cooking techniques
-Excellent communication skills including the ability to speak, write, and read English.
-Ability to be always professional with other associates, residents, family members, and visitors

JOB RESPONSIBILITY SUMMARY:
We're a leading assisted living facility looking for a COOK. This candidate must be reliable, even-tempered, passionate about helping, and, equally importantly, work effectively and respectfully with a team.
DUTIES:
- Prepare all served food
- Working with our team, friendly and efficient meal service for 75-85 residents.
- Understand and execute assigned menus with attention to detail.
- Special meal plating as needed.
- Maintaining cleanliness and maintenance of the kitchen area.
- Dishwashing as needed between services.
- Follow standard recipes and special diet orders.
- Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
- Clean and maintain kitchen equipment, utensils, and appliances.
- Tastes and smells prepared food to determine quality and palatability.
- Keeps the supervisor informed regarding the need for supplies and any problems arising from the sanitation procedures.
