We're looking for someone who possesses an ability to self-govern, critically think and is reliable & willing to learn from those around them. One year of experience in a fast-paced kitchen is preferred but not mandatory.

As a dishwasher/porter/prep, you will be responsible for cleaning all prep equipment, silverware, glassware and dishes according to sanitation requirements. You'll be responsible for keeping the dish pit orgranized and assist the kitchen in keeping the line and prep areas organized and clean. Your pace is critical to turning tables, so a strong work ethic is key to success.
· Follows opening and closing procedural checklists
· Washes all dishes, pots, pans, silverware, and food prep items (by scrubbing and spraying) and runs them through the dish machine
· Keeps the dish machine clean, including the surrounding area and drains, and reports any functional or mechanical problems to executive chef/sous chef
. Test & maintain dishwasher chemical levels.
· Dry dishes and equipment properly to avoid potential damages and loss
· Maintains an organized area by putting items back in their appropriate locations
· Works well as a member of the team to further provide excellent service in a fast paced work environment
· Wash / polish silverware
· Sweeps and mops prep rooms & lounge daily
· Sweeps, mops and wipe wall in dish area at the end of each shift
· Handles plate ware carefully to avoid any potential damages or loss
· Breaks down boxes / throw away trash in the back of the dumpster
· Disposes of linens and place in appropriate blue mesh bags and bring to back gate
· Replaces chemicals for dishwashing station as needed
· Stock wood cart daily/as needed
· Sweep wood area as needed
· Assists with food prep in accurate manner in accordance with recipe guidelines
