Senior Test Pilot As a Senior Test Pilot at Honeywell, you will be a mentor-leader and hold a critical role in the aerospace industry, responsible for the development, certification, and demonstration of industry leading aerospace technology. You will be a part of a professional, high performing team of test pilots, flight test engineers, flight test mechanics, and support staff whose goal is to supply accurate, repeatable, and cost effective data to the engineering groups we support. We have a unique and diverse fleet of 10 aircraft, from a B757 to a Bonanza and an AW139 helicopter to support that goal, and you will have the opportunity to operate multiple aircraft within that fleet.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Conduct flight tests to evaluate the performance and capabilities of aircraft systems and components
Develop and execute test plans, techniques and procedures
Analyze test data and provide recommendations for improvements
Collaborate with engineering teams to identify and resolve issues
Ensure compliance with aviation regulations and safety standards
Test reporting and technical document development
Collaborate on marketing and demonstrations activities for customers
Conduct familiarization, demonstration, training and evaluation flights
Mentor and develop Test Pilots
U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTSDue to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status.YOU MUST HAVE:
Extensive engineering and developmental flight test experience
Experience with the operation and regulations surrounding experimentally certified aircraft
Minimum of 2000 hours in turbine powered aircraft
Type rating in large turbine aircraft
Hold an FAA ATP Airplane Multi-Engine Land or Commercial Certificate with Instrument Rating
Ability to hold a First Class Medical
Bachelor's Degree
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
WE VALUE:
Lead Test Pilot experience and/or have served in a leadership position
Graduate of full course test pilot school (SETP-recognized) or possess equivalent experience in developmental flight test programs
Bachelor's degree in aerospace engineering or related field
Master's degree in aerospace engineering or related field
DER certification
Dual rated pilot with Rotorcraft-Helicopter ATP or Commercial Certificate
Unmanned Aerial Systems/Urban Air Mobility flight test experience
