Join us, if you have the talent and desire to create the vision for innovative Banking products and services.As a Senior Product Manager, you will join a team that develops and delivers new American Express Digital Banking Products for Consumers and Small Businesses: checking accounts, savings accounts, and debit cards. This group is nimble and creative, with the power to shape our product vision, strategy, and roadmap for American Express Banking Products. We are a hard-working, fun-loving team that delivers exciting next generation capabilities for banking products and benefits to our customers. As a Senior Product Manager in Digital Banking, you will work in an agile/SAFE set up and lead scrum teams responsible for the development and deployment of Core Banking Capabilities and/or APIs. The successful individual ensures that the Product meets the evolving needs of the enterprise through continual innovation, evaluation, and deployment. Requires strong organizational, technical, and creative problem-solving skills. Must work well in a dynamic, complex environment and under deadline pressures. Coordinates the efforts of a scrum team within a SAFE train to deploy the new features across markets and products. The Senior Product Manager has responsibility for decision making and prioritization for the scrum backlog working with the scrum team. The Senior Product Manager will report on and assist the Director of Product Management. Responsibilities:

Works with leadership to define and articulate a long-term product strategy and roadmap with clearly defined business metrics and targets.

Communicates and build consensus across disciplines in crafting the product roadmap.

Partners with vendor and internal Product Managers, Product Owners, New Product Development, Business Partners, and Architects to help assure strategy, vision and road map alignment and execution.

Translates product roadmap / capabilities into well-defined product requirements: features / user stories with detailed acceptance criteria.

Prioritizes and maintains the sprint backlog consistent with the Outcomes and Product Roadmap and performs feature/story elaboration with the implementation team.  Reviews and accepts completed user stories.

Partners with the design and technology teams to develop, test and deliver the defined features and rapidly iterate new solutions.

Must be hands-on as needed for creating solution documents, code review, feature testing via UI / postman etc.

Collaborates with Delivery Managers (DMs), Release Train Engineers (RTEs) and TPMs to identify and coordinate cross-platforms dependencies.

Enables cross-functional collaboration with relevant teams within the product scope.  

Identifies risks, challenges, opportunities, and business integration needs.   

Coordinates communications and facilitates resolution of risks, issues, and changes tied to the product backlog. Supports development of appropriate tracking and reporting to monitor product performance post launch and to evaluate future investment.   

Works closely with analytics and uses internal data tools to understand / measure success and impact to critical metrics.  

Produces return on investment analyses and optimization recommendations.   

Leads and mentors associate product managers.   

Qualifications:

5 years of experience in Product Management, with proven record of accomplishment in defining winning product constructs and delivering a product vision and strategy.

Knowledge of Banking domain, Treasury, Savings, Checking and Deposit (critical)

Direct experience working with Core Payments, Money Movement, and U.S Payment Rails.

Strong fundamentals about building ACH products, including Nacha Rules, Federal Reserve processing etc.

Solid Technology acumen, skilled at understanding business and customer needs and translating into tech requirements.

Proficient in API design pattern, Postman usage, should be able to test the features via UI or postman.

Good Collaboration skills and direct experience working with cross-functional internal teams and external vendors to implement strategies and drive results. 

Proven track record managing large, complex products / programs with multiple partners.

Detailed understanding and practice in SAFE agile framework. 

Experience with rapid and iterative software development methodologies.  

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Bachelor’s Degree in related field required; advanced degree preferred. 

Digital Banking experience is a plus.
