Description Robert Half is actively looking for an accomplished Senior Accountant for a long-term contract / temporary opportunity. Operating as a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. Prepare monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting
Be a part of various department-wide initiatives
Put together Balance Sheet account reconciliations
Analyze financial results (benchmarks, trends, performance metrics)
Function with business partners to ensure compliance with procedures and controls, corporate accounting policies, and provide support on special requests
Execute monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables (journal entries, reconciliations, reports) in compliance with GAAP
Other projects as necessary
Bring a daily dedication to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process
Arrange quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors Requirements - Self-starter with efficient time management and organizational skills
BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are desired
Minimum 5-7 years of overall general accounting experience
Highly organized, attentive, has a sense of urgency, flexible and able to deal with frequent interruptions and changing priorities
Familiarity with corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required
Expertise in financial reporting
Well-founded grasp of month end closings
Account reconciliation experience
Experience with journal entries
Proficiency in bank reconciliations
Proven knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Command of Balance Sheet Reconciliation
Foundational knowledge in general ledger
Current and relevant ERP system experience
Ability to prioritize work and balance multiple projects and deadlines
Outstanding skills in analyzing financial data and promptly generating accurate reports
Ability to effectively interact, verbally and in writing, with functional department managers
Comfortable working in a changing and dynamic environment
Skillful in analytical, quantitative and social skills
Deep understanding of internal controls and SOX compliance
