This position serves as Pediatrician for NATIVE HEALTH. The Pediatrician provides health assessment and direct care to pediatric patients as part of the provider team providing services directly to the Chief Medical Officer.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:Provides comprehensive primary patient care including prevention, health maintenance, diagnosis, treatment of acute and chronic conditions, and follow-up services to patients under his/her care within the scope of pediatric medicine.Documents all patient-provider interactions following health care standards.Participates as an active member of an integrated patient centered team.Provides oversight of Physician Assistants.  Provides Provider oversight of the Vaccine for Children’s Program across all Native Health Locations. Supports the organization as need.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:Strong knowledge of current evidence-based pediatric guidelines.Skills in providing diagnostic, preventive, and/or therapeutic services to patients.Skilled in Pediatric developmental screening guidelines, immunization schedules, and EPSDT requirementsKnowledge of public health, community health, and population health.Ability to work effectively with staff members who have a variety of backgrounds and training.Ability to accomplish the quality and quantity of work expected within set limits of cost and time.Ability to plan own work and carry out assignments effectively.Ability to communicate with others effectively both orally and in writing in working out solutions to problems or questions relating to work.Proficient with computer-based applications such as Microsoft Office.Ability to maintain patient medical records and utilize Electronic Health Records (EHR) and associated technologies in said maintenance.Ability to establish rapport and gain the confidence of others.Ability to function as a health care delivery team member.Ability to assess quality patient care.Ability to provide cross coverage at NATIVE HEALTH clinic locations as needed.Must be able to work with confidential material without betraying the trust of patients, families, or the agency.Knowledge of the cultural and social backgrounds of the Native American and under or uninsured population.Demonstrate adherence to principles of confidentiality, scientific/academic integrity, informed consent, and ethical practice.Skill in providing excellent customer service and support; organizing and prioritizing workload.
