Raytheon's Controllership Organization is seeking a Project Setup Specialist to join our team.This position is a critical part of the Raytheon SBU/Technical Accounting Controllership team. The position will support Raytheon Program Finance and Contracts organizations in creating and modifying projects within the SAP accounting system to maintain accurate reporting of cost, sales and profit. You will be exposed to multiple Contract Types and revenue scenarios and understand relationships between master data and revenue recognition in the accounting system. This position collaborates with all of Program Finance and many support functions, creating many opportunities to grow your network and expanding your understanding of the business.Responsibilities to Anticipate:

Perform detail review of contract and financial data, to ensure proper creation and modification of projects within SAP.

Demonstrate a vigilant attention to detail to ensure project attributes are correct and other setup requirements are completed and documented as required and in compliance with Company policies and procedures.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for process improvement and implement changes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Ensure compliance with financial controls by maintaining strong internal processes and administering controls under Sarbanes-Oxley and Company policies.

Act as a subject matter expert in financial systems and processes to maximize use of available system functionality and providing training, guidance, and support to end-users.

Perform data analysis to identify trends, anomalies, and areas of risk in financial systems and processes.

Perform various activities related to fiscal period closings.

Complete other ad hoc requests and special projects as needed.

Basic Qualifications:

Typically requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics or related topic

Typically requires 2+ years finance work experience; OR an Advanced degree and 0-2+ years prior relevant experience

Experience with Microsoft Excel and other financial software.

U.S. Citizenship Status is Required as this position will require the ability to Access US Only Data Systems

Preferred Qualifications:

Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions and levels within the organization.

Ability to learn and understand regulatory compliance requirements and best practices.

Working knowledge of SAP or similar ERP system

Experience with financial regulation, controls, and compliance

Knowledge of government contracting: terms, documents, project accounting requirements

MBA, CPA or CMA certification

An employee may be expected to travel to the site location as needed.The salary range for this role is 64,000 USD - 128,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
