Position ProfileThe End User Computing Engineer will be responsible for installation, configuration, and maintaining all desktop enterprise solutions for operating systems, standard desktop imaging, patch management, Anti-virus and software distribution. This role will be responsible for the design and implementation of core end user technology standards. Provide subject matter expertise to assess current desktop image environment, gather and document client requirements, recommend an imaging strategy, and implement.Responsibilities

Work with users and IS personnel to understand user needs and to introduce technical alternatives to increase productivity and improve the user experiences.

Assures quality customer service to all customers; promotes positive relationships and contributes to supportive and cooperative work environment.

Design, deploy, and maintain all end user platforms, software integration, Windows technologies, and Directory Services.

Oversee the setup and management of mobile device management (MDM) solutions.

Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and Infrastructure availability.

Participates in the design, development, and deployment of End User and Cloud Computing strategies.

Liaison for vendors and other IS personnel for problem resolution.

Provide support for the testing of new and existing software applications both on premise and SaaS under development or consideration for purchase.

Record, track, and document the problem-solving process, including all successful and unsuccessful decisions made, and actions taken, through to final resolution.

Write and maintain custom scripts to increase system efficiencies and lower human intervention time on tasks.

Assures optimal hardware configuration for compatibility and performance (e.g. BIOS, Drivers, etc).

Provides guidance to Desktop Support technicians and facilitates necessary project meetings.

Participates in after hours on-call support and weekend/holiday coverage responsibilities.

Minimum Qualifications

BS in Computer Science or minimum 3+ years of work-related experience.

3+ years in a large corporate enterprise environment.

3+ years developing and deploying unattended operating system installations for workstations/desktops/laptops with an in-depth understanding of hardware-independent imaging capabilities.

3+ years scripting experience utilizing a variety of languages such as VB Script, Powershell, Bash, and/or WinBatch or other scripting languages.

3+ years troubleshooting and enhancing desktop security and configuration management through Group Policy Objects (GPO) as well as the ability to create custom policies.

3+ years’ experience with Microsoft Endpoint Manager (Intune), Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (SCCM), Azure Active Directory, Mobile Iron Cloud or other Mobile Device Management.

Strong knowledge of registry and file system security.

Strong knowledge of networking concepts and technologies including: Ethernet, TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls, load balancing, and DHCP are required.

Strong knowledge of Azure Active Directory and M365 Apps.

Strong knowledge of scripting and programming theory.

Preferred Qualifications

Microsoft 365 certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate certification highly preferred.
