The Director of Transaction Accounting will be responsible for coordinating internal due diligence projects to ensure the completeness and accuracy of historical financial and grounded forecasted information for specific lines of business. The successful candidate should be experienced in working with external due diligence teams, investment banking and other professionals routinely involved in M&A transactions, as well as technical accounting associated with business combinations and consolidation accounting. The successful candidate will be expected to project manage the various stakeholders involved in M&A transaction activity, their deliverables and provide regular presentations of status and progress against planned milestones. The successful candidate should be experienced in preparing standalone financial information for an enterprise.Essential Job Functions:

Lead Enterprise project management for acquisitions and dispositions

Coordinate and perform internal due diligence of historical accounting treatment for prior acquisitions as well as potential future acquisitions and/or dispositions.

Perform remediation as necessary to ensure consistency of accounting treatment and compliance with US GAAP.

Ensure actual financial data used for business analysis and Product Line Profitability is accurate.

Coordinate and perform internal due diligence of potential acquisition targets and/or dispositions.

Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to strengthen internal controls, with a heavy emphasis on implementing process changes to improve efficiency, accelerate the close timeline and facilitate the integration of acquired companies.

Act as trusted finance/accounting advisor for specified business units / corporate departments.

Support Financial Planning & Analysis team with the preparation of presentations and other pitch books as needed.

Lead quality of earnings diligence and preparation with external advisors

Collaborate with FP&A and Business teams for TSA preparation.

This position supervises and mentor's others.

Such other activities as may be assigned by your manager.

Qualifications:

15+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience.

CPA preferred.

Experience in private equity backed company preferred but not required.

Ability to work in a dynamic, changing environment.

Must be able to work independently and be adept at identifying and resolving issues with limited guidance.

Experience with accounting ERP systems (Workday preferably).

Detailed oriented and willing to perform routine accounting tasks as needed to support the team.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills and demonstrated ability to communicate effectively.

Strong leadership skills.

Ability to manage direct reports.

Working Conditions:

Office environment with frequent computer, mouse, keyboard use.

Alternating between sitting or standing as needed.

Hearing, talking, reaching, grasping.

Specific compensation is determined through interviews and a review of relevant education, experience, training, skills, geographic location and alignment with market data. Additionally, certain positions may be eligible to receive a discretionary bonus as determined by bonus program guidelines, position eligibility and SitusAMC Senior Management approval.
