Your Opportunity

The Director of Mobile Security is an individual contributor supporting mobile device security technologies, threat monitoring and management in Schwab Cybersecurity Operations. This role works with the security and infrastructure teams on the design, engineering, and implementation of technology solutions and methodologies to ensure mobile device security. This role requires senior level knowledge of risk and mobile device security landscape to be able to better implement and maintain impactful security solutions.

Providing direction for Schwab's data and cybersecurity protection pertaining to all mobile devices (corporate and BYOD) and ensuring devices are compliant with governance, policies, standards, and controls. Assessing issues and developing solutions to meet security objectives and requirements.

What you have

Ability to partner with internal mobile device engineering teams for mapping, developing, evaluating, and validating mobile device security profile(s). This is a hands-on position, requiring a mix of social, analytical, engineering, security, and meticulous testing as well as research related skills and experience. Expertise in creating and reviewing technical documentation and reports related to mobile device security, engineering, and compliance .
  • Experience developing and implementing a comprehensive mobile device security program
  • Support targeted security testing and analysis to determine the efficacy of security controls and propose actionable mitigation recommendations for mobile security products and services.
  • Support targeted threat intelligence activities including research efforts focused on strengthening the security profile mobile products and services with actionable recommendations.
  • Conduct, review, and support technical security analysis based on threat models of root cause and propose mitigations for issues
  • Work closely with Stakeholders Teams (Compliance, Engineering, Red Team, Threat Intel, Security Operations Center) to develop high value enterprise capabilities/results while reducing noise and false alarms.
  • Create, maintain, and provide compliance and audit evidence for mobile devices.
  • Identify and implement automation of repetitive tasks.
  • Knowledge of:
    • Reverse engineering methodologies, techniques, and tools on mobile platforms
    • Threat modeling and offensive attack simulation
    • Software and hardware-based vulnerabilities and exploits on mobile platforms
    • Security standards (NIST, UCF)
    • Web/app security on mobile platforms
    • Wireless communication standards, systems, and protocols (cellular systems, CDMA/GSM/UMTS/UMB/LTE, Bluetooth, 802.11, UICC)

One or more Enterprise Mobile Device Security and Management technologies (Required)

  • Intune
  • Zimperium
  • Mobile Threat Defense - Broadcom/Symantec
  • zScaler
  • Crowdstrike

Qualifications

More than 5 years of progressive experience in cybersecurity mobile engineering.

Ability to identify security risks and weaknesses and provide security mitigation and remediation recommendations

Experience with handling workloads in an Agile environment utilizing SCRUM with Lean/MVP methodologies

Demonstrated experience and expertise with multiple security controls within multiple security domains

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field required

CISSP, CISM, or other relevant information security industry recognized certification preferred

Colorado Compensation

Target Total Compensation - 145,500 - $266,800
