Accounts Payable Clerk

Description We are seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Phoenix, Arizona. As part of our team, you will be dealing with various tasks related to the management of purchase orders and invoices, ensuring compliance with company policies and vendor agreements. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity.Responsibilities: Create, manage, and sustain Purchase Orders with approved vendors, ensuring they align with company regulations and vendor contracts. Receive and scrutinize invoices for their accuracy and completeness. Match the received invoices to Purchase Orders, ensuring they are aligned with the approvals before proceeding with payment processes. Accurately route invoices to the appropriate parties for approval. Schedule and process payments to vendors in a timely manner. Execute monthly reconciliations of the Accounts Payable trial balance, identifying and resolving any discrepancies or outstanding items. Ensure all invoices are accurately coded to the appropriate jobs and General Ledger accounts. Work in collaboration with relevant departments to confirm accurate allocations. Maintain accurate customer credit records. Process customer credit applications accurately and efficiently. Requirements Proficiency in account reconciliation is required Demonstrated experience in Accounts Payable (AP) Must be able to conduct check runs efficiently Ability to code invoices accurately High level of data entry skills Proven experience in invoice processing Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is necessary Must have working knowledge of QuickBooksRobert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
