VLMK Engineering + Design
DESCRIPTION: VLMK is seeking a Structural Engineer with 0 to 4 years of experience for our Pheonix (Scottsdale) office who is passionate about engineering and has the drive to learn and broaden their experience with a variety of project and building types.
AS A STRUCTURAL ENGINEER AT VLMK YOU WILL:
Work with a close-knit team where your contribution will be highly valued.
Analyze, design, and draft (or oversee drafting) for a range of project types utilizing concrete, steel, wood, light gauge and masonry structures.
See the whole scope of a project and work on it from start to finish.
Work directly with our Principal staff and project managers.
Have opportunities for mentoring through collaboration with peers and experienced engineers, in-house training and seminars.
MUST HAVE:
A Bachelor’s Degree in Structural/Civil Engineering with EIT registration is required to apply for this position.
Design courses or experience with Concrete, Steel and Wood design.
Ability to prioritize and successfully complete multiple assignments in a fast paced work environment.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
NICE TO HAVE:
Master’s Degree
Experience with structural design of commercial and industrial buildings.
Design courses or experience with masonry, light-gauge steel, post-tensioned concrete and aluminum.
Proficiency with RISA, RAM, ENERCALC, and similar analysis tools. Familiarity with AutoCAD and/or Revit.
A friendly personality with a desire to learn and grow professionally.
