Duties/Responsibilities:
Ensure the safety of children enrolled in the class at all times
Facilitate bi-annual parent/teacher conferences
Maintain/update student feed/activities in Brightwheel
Be a team player. Interact and communicate consistently and positively with peers and leadership
Train co-teacher or assistant (if applicable) within the classroom.
Maintain compliance with all NHLL policies and state licensing regulations
Maintain accurate child files pertaining to milestones and development
Complete all tasks designated by your supervisor
Educating children about fundamental concepts, such as colors, letters, numbers, and shapes.
Engaging in creative learning methods like arts and crafts, supervised play, and storytelling.
Planning comprehensive curriculums to address early childhood development needs.
Create lesson plans for daily activities in line with the school curriculum
Instilling a sense of order and discipline in the classroom.
Monitoring free time on the playground and supervision in the classroom at all times.
Preparing for lessons by gathering materials and setting up workstations.
Writing up reports/assessments for parents on each child's developmental progress.
Engage with young children in activities that are age-appropriate while bearing educational merit
Foster a positive and healthy learning environment
Ensure the classroom is kept in a clean, organized, and safe condition at all times
Interact with other teachers and administrative staff as needed
Communicate with parents regarding child development and progress
Switch out of classroom toys and change up classroom environment monthly
Minimum Qualifications:
Passionate about education and willingness to learn.
Must be at least 18 years old
High school diploma/GED
Paid working in the realm of Early Childhood Education for at least six months
Unrestricted Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card (prior to starting)
CPR and First Aid Certification, preferred
Food Handler card, preferred
