IOR’s Language Training department provides key support to help expatriates and their families learn the new language of their host country. IOR provides Language Training for clients in all 50 US States and in over 40 countries through a network of over 1,000 independent contractor trainers.
Job Summary
The part-time freelance Language Trainer will provide language training for employees and their families who are relocating for international job assignments. Language Trainers are expected to complete a short online training and adhere to basic IOR guidelines but are free to use their own materials and teaching methods for their lessons.
Our current need is for an English language trainer to instruct a business expatriate in Phoenix.
Our student is a native Chinese-Mandarin speaker with a target language of English, at a beginning to low-intermediate level and would like to start lessons as soon as possible. Prefers in-person lessons, is authorized for 40 hours, would like lessons 3 days per week with a duration of 2 hours for each lesson. Available to meet for lessons Mondays through Fridays between 5pm-10pm and Saturdays or Sundays between 8am-11am.

Job Qualifications
University Degree
Minimum 2 years of language teaching experience
Reliable transportation or other ability to meet at the location specified by the student
Comfortable speaking to individuals of many backgrounds
Professional demeanor
Ability to customize lessons based on student needs
