The Early Childhood Lead Teacher will envision and create a program for children and their families in a loving, nurturing and supportive environment:
The EC Lead Teacher will have strong interpersonal and communication skills- they will be friendly and welcoming to parents, children, & staff.
The EC Lead Teacher will work to build & maintain community and relationships with all families, past, present, and future.
Reporting to the Director of Early Childhood Education, the Early Childhood teacher is responsible for:
Ensuring classroom excellence is achieved and maintained in his/her classroom.
Creating and maintaining collaborative relationships with the other staff members; respecting everyone for their individuality.
Creating, writing, implementing, posting in the classroom and sending weekly lesson plans and weekly emails that adhere to Quality First standards including a Judaic focus on a weekly basis
Always getting on the child’s level and speaking in a soft, calm voice.
Qualifications
At least an AA in Early Childhood Education, or other related field preferred (At least a CDA is required)
Knowledge of Judaism helpful or willingness to learn
The ability to create positive relationships with both children and adults.
Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).
The ability to have fun, enjoy yourself, your work, your human contacts, and your environment.
Able to lift and carry a child up to 50 lbs. Able to sit on the floor and participate in all children’s activities. Able to work outdoors as needed.
