Job Description:
We are a well-established trucking company seeking an experienced and motivated General Manager to oversee daily operations and drive business growth. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, industry knowledge, and a proven track record in logistics or transportation management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily operations, including fleet management, dispatching, and driver coordination.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
- Oversee budgeting, financial reporting, and cost control.
- Ensure compliance with DOT regulations, safety standards, and industry laws.
- Recruit, train, and supervise staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Build and maintain relationships with clients, vendors, and partners.
- Monitor KPIs and provide regular performance reports to ownership.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of management experience in trucking, logistics, or related industry.
- Strong understanding of transportation regulations and safety compliance.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, or related field (preferred but not required).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities.
