We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Project Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for construction projects, analyzing project requirements, reviewing drawings and specifications, and working closely with project managers, engineers, architects, and subcontractors to ensure successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Review project plans, specifications, and related documents to determine project scope.
Prepare detailed cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor services.
Analyze and compare vendor and subcontractor proposals to ensure competitive pricing.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to develop accurate budgets.
Conduct quantity take-offs from blueprints and construction drawings.
Identify potential risks and cost-saving opportunities in project execution.
Maintain an updated database of material costs, labor rates, and subcontractor pricing.
Prepare bid proposals and respond to RFPs (Requests for Proposals).
Track project budgets and provide cost analysis throughout the project lifecycle.
Stay current with industry trends, codes, and construction methods.
Qualifications
Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or related field (preferred but not required).
Proven experience as an Estimator in commercial, residential, or industrial construction.
Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and labor costs.
Excellent analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical documents.
Strong communication and negotiation skills for coordinating with vendors, subcontractors, and clients.
