```Duties```
- Process and review invoices for accuracy and completeness
- Ensure timely and accurate payment of invoices and resolve any payment discrepancies
- Maintain vendor records and communicate with vendors regarding payment inquiries
- Reconcile accounts payable transactions and resolve any discrepancies
- Assist with month-end closing activities, including preparing journal entries and reconciling general ledger accounts
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure proper coding and approval of invoices
- Heavy Data Entry
- Assist with audits by providing supporting documentation and explanations for accounts payable transactions
```Requirements```
- 2+ years of experience in accounts payable/bookkeeping or related field
- Proficient in using accounting software such as Sage or QuickBooks
- Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting principles and practices
- Experience with general ledger reconciliation and analysis
- Familiarity with government accounting regulations and GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel
- Excellent Attendance
