The resort, which is adjacent to the cities of Phoenix and Scottsdale, offers easy access to golf, recreation, nightlife and entertainment.Job DescriptionOmni Scottsdale Resort & Spa is seeking a polished sales and events specialist who brings leadership, revenue driven hotel/resort sales & events experience, with a passion for the wedding market. Based in Scottsdale you will be a catering sales manager, leading our efforts in selling one of the top gala and wedding destinations in the Valley! Responsibilities

Identify, solicit, qualify, and book new and/or repeat business in the wedding market through various sales efforts while maximizing event space to meet/exceed personal and team revenue goals.

Negotiate meeting room rental, function space, and/or hotel services within approved booking guidelines.

Responsible for learning the hotel brand and strategy.

Arrange and conduct special events and site inspections. Entertain clients in accordance with established company and hotel policies and guidelines.

Establish strong client base of local wedding and event planners in the Arizona market and foster relationships.

Communication with clients prior to events to initiate, negotiate, and close contracts for all catered functions.

Update and increase client prospects through active prospecting.

Meet and exceed set quarterly goals set forth by the Director of Sales and Marketing.

Maximize revenues for the hotel through up-selling techniques.

Other duties as assigned by Director of Catering & Conference Services.

Qualifications

College degree required.

Minimum of 1-2 years hotel sales/catering experience and/or successful completion of Omni LID program.

Knowledge of the operations of the hotel industry.

Dynamic, enthusiastic, creative leader who thrives under pressure and is able to perform multiple functions and troubleshoot when needed.

Command of the English language both written and verbal, with the ability to demonstrate warmth and empathy when engaging with others.

Must have proven selling, negotiating and presentation skills.

Contract negotiation experience required.

Requires knowledge of advanced sales techniques.

Highly developed customer service skills with strong attention to detail.

Proficient computer skills including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Power Point, Excel, and Outlook. SocialTables and Delphi.fdc experience preferred.

Position is a hybrid role offering on-site and work from home days throughout the week.
