We are seeking a skilled LAND SURVEYOR to join Lakeside Land Surveying. The Surveyor will be responsible for conducting land surveys for residential and commercial properties and vacant lots. Surveys we do include as-builts, topos, corners, building layouts, pad certs, placement certs, etc.
This is an ideal situation for a semi-retired or retired land surveyor who doesn't want the hassles of a full-time business to run. Optionally, someone straight out of school who knows the trade is also welcome to apply. Survey work is in abundance and we're having to turn down jobs.
If you don't want to move, we're willing to take on someone who lives in a larger city who is willing to drive in for a few days of the week.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Conduct surveys to establish legal boundaries for properties.
Verify the accuracy of survey data, including measurements and calculations conducted at survey sites.
Calculate heights, depths, relative positions, property lines, and other characteristics of terrain.
Willing to travel up to two hours to rural areas, and by boat to a jobsite on occasion.
REQUIREMENTS
Versed in a Spectra SP100 GPS with a Ranger 5 and Origin software.
Knowledge of Civil3D is a plus.
Land Surveyor license is not required but would be helpful.
SKILLS
Proficiency in the basic "easy" math Surveyors use: Geometry, trigonometry, algebra, and mathematics.
Proficiency with surveying instruments and technologies, including total stations, GPS, and laser scanners.
Strong understanding of surveying principles, techniques, and best practices.
Excellent attention to detail with the ability to accurately interpret and analyze survey data.
LOCATION
Lake Havasu City and surrounding cities (focusing on Mohave County, Arizona
PAY: $35+ per hour (DOE)
SCHEDULE
Full-time, part-time, or contract work (Surveyor's choice).

Outdoor work. Relocation assistance is available. We're a very busy company with long-term ties to the community and its people. This is not surveying in the big city; it's fairly uncomplicated stuff. We're a fun, casual office but do serious work and enjoy ourselves. Our office is in the downtown area of Lake Havasu City. The city offers river life, boating, desert riding, and many fun events.
