Also you will have the opportunity to champion the change by joining in our mission of healing through humankindness.ARIZONA GENERAL HOSPITALResponsibilitiesThe SWAT RN is a critical care resource nurse for the facility with a focus on rapid response, code, stroke response. The primary responsibility is to respond to, provide care and oversight for all inpatient. Serves as a critical care resource to staff on clinical care and provides leadership and direction to hospital personnel.
Mentors others in areas such as competency, documentation, equipment use, plan of care, National Patient Safety Goals, and participation in in-service education.
Provides direct patient care as appropriate to meet the needs of the patients and facility.
Makes walk through rounds on all nursing units at least twice a shift to ascertain any department needs.
Provides support to units as patient transport to procedure as needed.
Primary response to code stroke and rapid response
Responds to all hospital wide rapid response code, strokes as the primary responder and direct patient care provider.
Maintains all necessary competencies required to participate in this role.
QualificationsMinimum:
3 years of ICU experience
BSN
Arizona or compact state RN license (RN)
American Heart Association Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Providers (BLS-CPR)
American Heart Association Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
Society of Trauma Nurses Certificate of Advanced Trauma Care (ATCN) for Nurses within 6 months in the position.
