Description We are looking for an accounting professional who is able to thrive in a deadline-driven environment with minimal supervision and is self-driven and organized. A Full Charge Bookkeeper has become available with one of our clients. In this Full Charge Bookkeeper position, you will regulate journal entries, month-end close, cash flow, financial statement preparation, audit, full cycle A/P, payroll, and bank reconciliations. The Full Charge Bookkeeper may also manage clerical staff. This permanent employment opportunity is based in the Mesa, Arizona area. Look after Accounts Payable
Outline business license and gross receipts
Supervise monthly accounting close
Form monthly reconciliations, financial statements and all supporting documents
Record budget transfers
Manage Accounts Receivable
Manage sales tax records and create and file quarterly payments
Work on special projects occasionally
Ready subcontractor 1099's, and any other IRS year-end requirement
Create cash account journal entries including loans, taxes, bank fees, 401(k) deductions, etc.
Proficient in credit card management and reconciliation
Organize cash flow projections, as needed Requirements - Dedication and requisite skills to meet critical business deadlines
5+ years of related experience - Significant accounting experience, including as a Bookkeeper preferred
BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other business-related field preferred
Comprehensive knowledge of full charge bookkeeping
Adeptness in Cost of Goods Sold (COGS)
General ledger experience
Proficiency in General Accounting
Asset Inventory experience
Month end closings experience required
Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic and constantly changing company environment
Strong organization skills
Attention to detail and demonstrated ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
Proven analytical skills with ability to implement solutions and vendor management experience with good organizational skills
Self-driven motivator who takes initiative on projects with a strong ability to understand and solve creative challenges
Strong communication skills, both verbally and in writing
