Job Title: Environmental Health and Safety CoordinatorJob DescriptionWe are seeking an Environmental Health and Safety Coordinator to develop, implement, and maintain our HSE System along with policies, procedures, and programs in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. The role involves collaborating with various departments to promote a culture of safety and health, conducting risk assessments, leading incident investigations, and ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and maintain HSE System, policies, procedures, and programs.
Develop and implement HSE learning and development programs for all employees.
Collaborate with production, engineering, and HR departments to foster a safety culture.
Review and generate risk assessments and safety audits; implement corrective actions to mitigate risks.
Lead and assist in the investigation of workplace incidents and near misses; analyze root causes and implement corrective measures.
Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations; maintain necessary documentation and reporting.
Assist in the development and implementation of emergency response plans and educate employees for emergency preparedness.
Promote and implement environmental sustainability initiatives within the manufacturing process.
Serve as an onsite safety resource during the transition from construction to serial production, ensuring employee safety during non-routine tasks.
Essential Skills
Ability to monitor and implement practices for protecting people, the environment, and property from harm.
Experience in managing workplace safety, occupational health, and environmental protection.
Proficiency in OSHA regulations, specifically OSHA 30.
Experience in regulatory compliance and safety training.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED with 1-3+ years of experience in Health & Safety practice, or HSE Related Associates/Bachelor’s Degree with no experience required.
Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite and Android/iOS.
Working knowledge and experience in CFR1910, CFR1926, specifically in Forklift/PIV, Lockout-Tagout, Contractor Safety, Fall Protection, and PPE Selection.
Experience with hand tools, ladders, machine guarding, fire inspections, and signage generation.
Bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety, environmental science, engineering, or a related field.
Experience in CFR40 and other relevant environmental regulations.
Experience generating training and written programs.
Ability to lead and influence a diverse workforce.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Bilingual (Spanish or French) is a plus.
Certification (e.g., GSP) is a plus.
