This role offers a unique opportunity to deliver 24/7 care for premature and ill newborn infants and their families. It's a fulfilling experience, knowing that your contributions directly impact the well-being of these vulnerable infants and their families. To excel as a NICU nurse, you should possess a caring and empathetic nature, thrive under pressure in a demanding environment, and effectively coordinate treatments while collaborating with a team of neonatal healthcare professionals. Additionally, familiarity with the intricate NICU equipment used for treating at-risk newborns is essential.NICU Nurse Responsibilities:

Providing round-the-clock care to premature and severely ill newborn infants.

Caring for the basic needs of infants

Performing medical procedures; for example, inserting intravenous lines, performing tests, and administering medications.

Assisting the NICU physicians in medical procedures and treatments.

Formulating nursing plans and evaluating the effectiveness of treatments.

Comforting ill newborns and anxious parents and family members.

Offering support to parents and family members and educating them on the at-home care of their newborn.

QualificationsMinimum:

AZ RN license or RN License from a Compact State.

1 year of nursing experience

ADN Diploma BSN or Foreign Equivalent

Current American Heart Association BLS card.

Current NRP or within 6 months if no previous experience

STABLE within 2 years of hire
