This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: This vacancy is for a Team Lead IT SPECIALIST (NETWORK) position located at Fort Huachuca AZ. Responsibilities Serve as Team Leader responsible for project implementation and execution of large and complex network systems from inception through completion. Provide technical guidance in all phases of the systems engineering model, from concept exploration through implementation to include the development of detailed site by site engineering. Secure voice, data, and video communications; and local, campus and wide area networks. Maintain liaison with other federal agencies, academia, and industry to keep abreast of latest technology, available equipment, and systems to meet Army requirements. Incorporate project execution and planning, considerations such as site preparation, facility validation, installation requirements, required test equipment and quality assurance. Prepare final technical reports and briefings encompassing pertinent analysis, conclusions, and recommendations for worldwide Army information systems Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Who May Apply: US Citizens In order to qualify, you must meet the Experience requirements described below. AND Specialized Experience- One year of specialized experience which includes work that involves;1) Overseeing existing and emerging advanced Information Technology (IT) network architecture; AND 2). Leading team efforts in the integration and implementation of major network systems for large organizations such as Department of Defense (DOD). AND 3) Resolving complex problems associated with development and implementation of information technology, and telecommunication systems. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13).
