Huachuca, AZ. This position will support the U. S. Army Customer Interface/Policy-Communications Security Logistics Activity (CIP-CSLA) program.This position supports for Emerging cryptographic and Key Management Infrastructure (KMI). The selected candidate will provide operational COMSEC expertise to the Government on the use of emerging technology and cryptographic solutions; especially in the areas of EKMS / KMI.Key Responsibilities:COMSEC Operations Analysis and Reporting:

Conduct thorough reviews and analyses of Key Management Plans (KMPs), COMSEC Doctrine, policy, and procedures, ensuring they align with both current and future Army COMSEC operations.

Collaborate closely with the Technology Manager (TM) to prepare comprehensive reports on the adequacy of these documents, identifying areas of strength and opportunities for enhancement.

Cryptographic Systems Advisory:

Actively participate in discussions regarding existing and emerging Army cryptographic systems, including the Key Management Infrastructure (KMI), to provide expert guidance.

Ensure the integration of new technologies with Army operations is seamless and does not contradict existing operational doctrines or procedures.

Emerging Technology Research and Implementation:

Lead research efforts on emerging technology and security advancements, assessing their impact on EKMS/KMI operations.

Formulate and present strategic recommendations on how to integrate new technological concepts effectively, enhancing operational efficiency and security.

Software Testing and Deployment:

Engage in rigorous testing of EKMS Tier 1 software updates and other related programs to confirm their readiness for Army COMSEC community deployment.

Support the CSLA (Communications Security Logistics Activity) team in planning and executing test events, ensuring adherence to protocols and completion of necessary documentation.

NSA KMI CI-3 Planning Support:

Provide essential input to the NSA KMI Capability Increment 3 (CI-3) planning initiatives upon request.

Assist in identifying technical or operational gaps in EKMS/KMI Tier 2/MGC operations that CI-3 developments could resolve, underpinning future contractual efforts with requisite non-disclosure agreements (NDAs).

Clearance Requirements:

Active DOD Secret (or above) Security Clearance, with ability to obtain a Top-Secret clearance.

Desired Experience and Skills:

Minimum of five (5) years of experience in COMSEC operations, with a proven track record in managing and analyzing cryptographic systems.

Experience in leading technology integration projects within military or defense settings, particularly with Army COMSEC and cryptographic systems.

Deep understanding of Key Management Infrastructure (KMI), Electronic Key Management System (EKMS), and other cryptographic technologies.

Proficiency in systems engineering, network engineering, and security protocols relevant to COMSEC operations.

Strong capability to analyze and interpret complex technical documents, policies, and procedures.

Desired Certifications:

8570.1M certification(s), such as: Security+, CompTIA A+, Network+, ISC2, or SSCP.

Education Requirements:

GED or High School Diploma required; Associates or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field is desired.
