We’re launching a premium Western boot and lifestyle brand in the Sedona/Cottonwood area of Arizona, and we're looking for an experienced bootmaker to help shape the foundation. This is a rare opportunity to run your own shop, work with high-end materials, focus on craftsmanship over mass production, and collaborate with a founder who values quality, tradition, and a healthy work environment.
What You’ll Do:
Build out a boot shop from scratch
Help select the space and equipment
Source lasts, hides, and tools
Hire and mentor a small team of apprentices
Hand-make Goodyear-welted and lemonwood-pegged boots for men and women
Collaborate on custom patterns, lasts, and designs
Run a productive, happy, and efficient workshop
Troubleshoot materials, equipment, and workflow as we grow
What You Bring:
5+ years of experience hand-making boots (not just repair work)
Deep knowledge of leather, construction techniques, and tooling
Pride in your craft and attention to detail
Comfortable working independently and taking ownership
Based in Arizona or willing to relocate (Sedona/Cottonwood area); relocation assistance available
