The Ark Cat Sanctuary, located north of Parks, AZ, is looking for full-time or part-time employees to care for cats and kittens. As an "Animal Care Associate," you will provide daily care for cats and kittens, including feeding, cleaning, and socialization. The starting pay is $15/hour with an opportunity for raises. Work hours are approximately Noon to 6 PM.
You must consistently work when scheduled and complete the assigned cat care tasks. We do not have spare staff nearby to fill in for you if you don't show up as scheduled. The health and happiness of our cats will depend on your support!
Before applying, please confirm that you have mapped your commute to the Sanctuary, are comfortable with that commute, and have a car that can make this drive in all kinds of weather.
The sanctuary is about 30 miles northwest of Flagstaff (9978 N Friendly Country Road, Parks, AZ, 86018) and about 12 miles north of the 1-40 exit to Parks, AZ. The last 6 miles to the Sanctuary is a gravel Forest Service road. A 4-wheel-drive car or tire chains may be needed in winter, depending on your car, although many of our core staff consistently make the drive in a 2-wheel-drive car.
