PRN Licensed Therapist @ Holistic Behavioral Health Facility

Arizona, Flagstaff / sedona, 86001 Flagstaff / sedona USA

Vacancy caducado!

The Alternative to Meds Center is looking for an experienced and licensed therapist to provide therapy and clinical services for patients in a residential behavioral health treatment setting. ATMC believes in providing a high level of clinical care in a compassionate environment. We specialize in biochemical correction concerning addiction and alternatives to psychiatric drugs, offering specialized care for a tapering medication withdrawal. Our philosophy is to ensure residents receive the ultimate in support during their tenure with us, from arrival to graduation, and beyond.

The position requires an emphasis on mental health, and the connection between body, mind and spirit. Our ideal candidate is licensed. We are seeking someone that can contribute to a multidisciplinary team to treat clinically complicated residents and their families.

The therapist is directly responsible for the therapeutic needs and continuum of clinical care for clients. Clinical responsibilities include providing individual therapy sessions, occasional family therapy sessions, facilitation of group therapy sessions, documenting all services, and working closely with residential staff.

Additionally, please note that our facility is unique in many ways, including that a large percentage of our clients are tapering medication while in our care as one of their treatment goals. As a result, they are often symptomatic while going through withdraw from medication reduction, which creates a different treatment experience for the clients and staff than that of a traditional mental health/residential setting.

Schedule: Typically, therapy sessions will be done on site, in-person with our residents (we're located in West Sedona though occasionally a remote therapy session may be scheduled for various reasons). The typical caseload for this position will fluctuate depending on our overall census at the center, likely ranging from 2-8 residents. As such, flexibility is important for this position, and the hours may vary between about 5-15 hours per week. Starting compensation for this position is between $50-$60 per 1:1 therapy session. Ideally, the person in this position would also facilitate one or two group therapy sessions each week. As a therapist at ATMC, you would be required to attend clinical supervisory meetings on Tuesdays (remotely or in person) with our clinical team (Therapists, Care Managers, Clinical Liaison, and Clinical Director) and also stay up to date with residents on your caseload by reviewing email reports, and working closely with & corresponding with team.

Some responsibilities of this position, such as writing up 1:1 and group therapy notes, could potentially be completed remotely once fully trained in all aspects of this position.

Preferred / Not Required: Weekend availability is a plus, but not a requirement. We are seeking therapists who are able to work with complex cases, are trauma informed, and have residential experience.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Is independently licensed (though candidates with associate level licensure will be considered)

- Has experience working with complex cases/clients in either a residential or crisis like setting

- Has been a therapist for 5+ years

In addition to having relevant experience, education and licensure, our ideal candidate:

- Has a heart of service and is exceptionally compassionate

- Is professional, and is known for having integrity and unshakable ethics

- Is adept in navigating novel and challenging situations with grace and discernment

- Is looking for a long-term career opportunity

- Enjoys contributing in a team atmosphere

- Has a knack for calming others rather than adding to high intensity situations

If interested, please first check out our website (www.alternativetomeds.com) to learn more about our philosophy and services.

Then, submit your resume along with a cover letter sharing with us why you feel you you'd be a great addition to our team. We look forward to connecting with you!
