Job Description Drives the development and management of Psychological Sciences' Graduate Programs (MA, IH Ph.D.) and community-based initiatives, and oversees the program marketing and staffing requirements to ensure the program meets detailed objectives.Graduate Program Lead - 40% Assists graduate students related to key graduate program functions such as assistantships, scheduling, and enrollment. Responsible for graduate program events. Supports coordinator/director with issues related to equitable practices for historically marginalized students.Community Initiative Lead - 30% Manages community-based initiatives through outreach and relationship development. Leads or assists with design, development, implementation, and management of program(s) or project(s). Provides status reports on all projects; oversees, coordinates, and/or assists with proposal writing to develop additional funding.Recruitment and Marketing - 20% Develops, implements, and maintains social network/website systems and procedures for Psychological Sciences. Manages recruitment initiatives for graduate programs. Collaborates with, and builds relationships with community organizations.Policy and Assessment Oversight - 5% Develops or assists with the development and implementation of policies and procedures consistent with those of the organization as well as state and federal regulations to ensure efficient operation of the program/project. Develops program assessment protocols for evaluation and improvement.Other - 5% Support Psychological Sciences administrative needs as requested. Other duties as assigned.Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in related field. 1 to 2 years of project management experience. 2 to 4 years of relevant experience. A combination of related education, experience, and training may be used as an equivalent to the above Minimum Requirements. Preferred Qualifications Program management experience in an academic unit. Website development maintenance.Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Knowledge Knowledge of principles and procedures of program management Knowledge of marketing/social media principles. Knowledge of organizational practices and principles.Skills Wed design experience. Program development and execution. Coordination of activities, evaluating data, and establishing priorities. Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Social media experience for Program Management.Abilities Works independently. Communicates effectively. Exercises good judgment and professionalism. Promotes a diverse, inclusive environment. Background Information Northern Arizona University requires satisfactory results for the following: a criminal background investigation, an employment history verification and a degree verification (in some cases) prior to employment. You may also be required to complete a fingerprint background check. Additionally, as an employer in the state of Arizona, NAU is required to participate in the federal E-Verify program that assists employers with verifying new employees' right to work in the United States. Finally, each year Northern Arizona University releases an Annual Security Report. The report is a result of a federal law known as the Clery Act. The report includes Clery reportable crime statistics for the three most recent completed calendar years and discloses procedures, practices and programs NAU uses to keep students and employees safe including how to report crimes or other emergencies occurring on campus. In addition, the Fire Safety Report is combined with the Annual Security Report for the NAU Flagstaff Mountain Campus as this campus has on-campus student housing. This report discloses fire safety policies and procedures related to on-campus student housing and statistics for fires that occurred in those facilities. Salary commensurate with candidate's qualifications and related experience.FLSA Status This position is non-exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). The incumbent is eligible for overtime pay or compensatory time according to University policy.
