The operating room (OR) operates as a team, and every member plays a crucial role that directly impacts the patient's outcome. As a Surgical Tech, your adaptability and enthusiasm to work with the team are key to taking patients from a diseased process to a healing process. Prepares and maintains a sterile operative field.
Prepares for planned procedures by having all necessary supplies and properly functioning instrumentation available.
Assumes responsibility for personal, professional development and continuing education by attending departmentalmeetings, hospital events and classes, etc.
Responsible for inventory, ordering and distribution of technical and office supplies.
QualificationsMinimum:
Minimum 5 years of experience in a multi-specialty Operation room
Current BLS Healthcare Provider Card
Completion of formal instruction in Operating Room Technique Certification
High school diploma or GED equivalent
