Specialty experience required in at least two areas such as charge therapist stress testing pulmonary function testing arterial line insertion & maintenance transcutaneous monitoring or neonatal intensive care

Maintains and oversees the functioning of the blood gas lab and regulatory requirement by CAP JCAHO and state agencies.

Performs full range of basic respiratory care for all patient populations

Performs and documents a complete patient assessment including (but not limited to) vital signs, breath sounds, cough, and respiratory pattern with each ventilator system check and with each treatment.

Checks all equipment and respiratory modalities (including invasive and non-invasive), maintains alarms and documents accurately and completely.

Performs ABGs utilizing 2 patient identifiers, properly handles blood specimens, reports critical values, and maintains blood gas lab logs (where applicable).

Correctly charges, labels, scans and discards medications (including patient owned medications).

Serve as a team lead to other respiratory therapists

QualificationsMinimum:Strong Critical care experience in CVICU ICU and NurseryMinimum of (3) years experience within all facets of acute and respiratory care including arterial line inserion/maintenanceGraduate of an AMA approved school for Respiratory TherapyRegistered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)AZ State RCP LicenseCurrent American Heart Association BLS ACLS and NRP requiredBasic computer knowledge. Able to communicate clearly and tactfullyPreferred:5 recent years of CAP experience strongly preferredPreferred knowledge of arterial blood gas testing pulmonary function EKGs and NICU.Pay Range$32.08 - $46.51 /hourWe are an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer.
