Practice autonomously, consistent with professional standards, Nurse Practice Act and hospital job description.

Assess patients according to SJHMC standards of care and individual patient needs.

Monitors vital signs, lab values and diagnostic tests and reports/acts on abnormal results.

Administers prescribed medications and intravenous solutions according to standards of care and hospital protocols.

Documents clinically relevant assessments, findings, and histories in the patient's record according to hospital protocols.

Processes all new hires and coordinates the reporting of results.

Coordinates and performs drug screening and other mandatory testing. Ensures all testing is done as specified by job description and regulatory agencies.

Performs fit-testing and per OSHA protocols.
