The role of the Accounts Payable Lead is to support the Financial Operations Team. Job duties include not limited to managing AP invoices, employee reimbursement and AP disbursements. The AP Lead will also participate in monthly financial closing activities, including preparing accrual entries, recurring expense account reviews and supplier account reconciliations.Job Duties and Responsibilities

Manage employee reimbursement process to ensure

Process non-PO related invoices, resolve vendor inquiries, and ensure vendor accounts are in good standing

Supporting AP Disbursement process

Prepare cash deposits

Prepare AP Expense Accruals

Prepare 1099’s annually

Train and develop AP Processing Staff

Assess and assist in continual process improvements

Ensure transactions are recorded in accordance with GAAP and provide support during financial audits

Ensure positive relations and communication internally and externally

Ensure company standards of managing supplier accounts are met

Accurately execute daily processes and controls in accordance with company policy and SOX internal controls

EducationAssociates or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, or FinanceQualifications

At least 5 years’ experience in progressive, full cycle accounts payable roles including leading a team

Experience with Travel and Expense management processes and systems

Proficient with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, etc.)

Must be highly motivated and able to work independently and effectively.

Have excellent interpersonal skills and a strong desire to be a team player.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills
