We help farmers deliver the best possible outcomes, working to achieve the balance between economic, environmental, and social value creation for sustainable and efficient agriculture.As a Logistics Supervisor, you will be instrumental in leading and facilitating the storage of bulk, unprocessed cotton seed while providing logistics support for warehoused products to the BASF production facility. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams in areas such as warehouse planning, total quality management, and material management, while managing work teams and training peers to enhance operational efficiency and drive continuous process improvements.As a Logistics Supervisor, you create chemistry by
Effectively operating the warehouse while maintaining all safety rules, regulations, and Standard Operating Procedures as set by BASF Environmental, Health, and Safety and site management.
Leading and overseeing the day-to-day operations of technicians and contingent labor at the warehouse site to ensure efficient workflow.
Supporting the Environmental, Health, and Safety program with site safety initiatives and leading a safety culture through comprehensive training.
Facilitating repairs of onsite equipment and buildings during the operational season and coordinating summer maintenance during the off-season.
Preparing and managing shipping, receiving, and storage plans while adhering to site standard operating procedures.
Partnering with the site manager and other supervisors to ensure compliance with all government, regulatory, and stewardship guidelines, while addressing any task assigned by management.
If you
Have a High School Diploma (required); an Associate degree or higher in Agronomy, Seed Science, Plant Science, Agricultural Business/Economics, or a related discipline is preferred.
Possess a minimum of 3 years of experience in warehouse operations, cotton production/research, cotton ginning, or seed production.
Have a strong background in safety culture and compliance.
Can demonstrate effective team leadership skills and the ability to lead a team effectively, previous leadership experience strongly preferred.
Have in-depth knowledge of heavy warehouse equipment and possess mechanical aptitude.
Are proficient in using ERP systems, Microsoft Office, along with effective communication and organizational skills.
Have a forklift certification, or obtain within 2 months of employment, and Working knowledge of Federal DOT regulations.
Have Spanish/English Bilingual skills, preferred
