Tank Cleaning Foreman-
Start date 3-1-24, Job will last until mid-July 2024, 50-60hrs per week, but can become permanent if willing to perform other tank cleaning duties like abrasive blasting. No CDL required, remote project south central Alaska, small rural tank farm with above ground storage tanks, diesel and gasoline tanks. Housing provided while onsite and per diem. Must be able to pass drug screen, be reliable, be willing to do other tasks beyond listed, positive can-do attitude is required, due to remote nature of the project. Must have or be willing to get a confined space supervisors’ card.
Some qualifications-
Must be experienced or willing to travel by small plane or barge to remote work setting with limited infrastructure. Must be willing to stay onsite for two weeks at a time.
Must have previous experience cleaning above ground storage tanks.
Must have experience of supervising tank cleaners and jobs.
Supervise/set up cleaning interiors of storage tanks, industrial processing tanks to remove emulsion and incrustations, using shovels, squeegees, brooms, scrapers, hoses, water, and solvents. Drain tanks, connects hose to water or steam lines, and sprays walls, roof, and bottom of tank to flush residue, such as fuels, grease, and sludge through tank openings. Supervise removing chemical residues and other liquids from tank bottoms with squeegees or pump and suction hoses. Build containments onsite and store waste for removal.
Abrasive blasting experience is a plus.
