JOB SUMMARY
Under the supervision of the Security Captain and/or Security Sergeant, the employee will provide security related duties and other infrastructure support functions unique to the Kuparuk facility based on the contract requirements. This is a seasonal position anticipated to last through April 2021, working a 2 week on/2 week off rotational position on the North Slope.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or GED
Minimum of two years of experience in an officer position or with a municipal, state, or federal law enforcement agency, military unit with security related duties, corrections, or private security company.
Valid driver’s license
State of Alaska armed security officer certification (or ability to obtain)
Ability to pass expanded background investigation
Ability to perform the essential functions, as described below, in a safe and efficient manner
Ability to pass a pre-employment/post offer physical and fitness for duty test
WORKING ENVIRONMENT: The employee will be required to live and work in a remote and confined workspace for extended periods of time and exposure to work assignments consisting of twelve-hour days and able to work day or night shifts as required. The majority of the work is performed in a remote setting with a wide variety of people in differing functions, personalities and abilities.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS : The employee’s work requires routine walking, standing, bending and carrying items. There may be a lack of immediate access to critical medical services as well as urban community services.
