The Shop Foreman manages crew members and reports to Ridgeline Management. Must be able to pass structural weld test. They enforce safety and efficacy with the crew, ensuring all workers are following company and legal regulations. They assume responsibilities for the fabrication shop, equipment, administrative tasks, and fabrication crew. A foreman provides the crew help and guidance and welds as needed. They make sure all the activities are conducted in compliance with all permitting and safety programs. They must maintain good working relationships with all employees and clients and be comfortable to hold pre shift safety meetings and safety drills.
-Must be able to keep an attention span for 8-12 hours a day
-Perform repetitive motions and tasks
-Able to work a rotating schedule if required; including but not limited to, nights, weekends and holidays
-Able to work with other crew members in close quarters
-Able to receive and give verbal and written instructions
-Must be able to read blueprints and drawings
-Must be able to use welding equipment properly
-Select materials to be cut or joined, follow engineering directions and instructions form drawings
-Ensure proper use, maintenance, and storage of all welding equipment
-Must be able to cut, shaping and joining sections of alloys, metals or other material using specialist welding methods and according to specific drawing designs and specifications
-Must have a minimum of 3 years of welding experience
