We are seeking dedicated and knowledgeable Budtenders/Shift Leads to join our cannabis retail team in Juneau, AK. This role involves providing exceptional customer service, supervising staff during shifts, and ensuring compliance with all state and local regulations. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cannabis education and a commitment to creating a welcoming environment for customers.
Responsibilities:
Supervise and support budtenders during shifts, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
Provide knowledgeable assistance to customers regarding cannabis products, including strains, consumption methods, and safe usage.
Handle cash transactions accurately, including opening and closing registers, and maintaining accurate cash counts.
Assist in training new staff members and providing ongoing education to the team.
Maintain compliance with all state and local regulations, including verifying customer identification and ensuring proper handling of cannabis products.
Oversee inventory management, including receiving deliveries, stocking products, updating digital menus, and auditing inventory on hand.
Address and resolve customer inquiries and complaints in a professional manner.
Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the store, including sales floor, lobby, and break areas.
Collaborate with management to develop and execute sales strategies and promotions.
Qualifications:
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Previous experience in the retail and/or cannabis industry is preferred.
Strong knowledge of cannabis products, strains, and consumption methods.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly.
Proficiency with point-of-sale systems and basic computer applications.
Experience with METRC, Dutchie, and Leaflink is preferred.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Must possess or be willing to obtain a valid Marijuana Handler's Permit for the State of Alaska.
Physical Demands:
Ability to stand for extended periods.
Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
Comfortable working in a fast paced retail environment with frequent customer interaction.
