Position: Seasonal Shuttle Driver

Special Requirement: Must be 21+

Starting Wage: $17.00/hr plus End of Season Completion Bonus

Hours: Full and Part Time positions available, seasonal, begins in May and will end in late September

The Position:

While driving a 12-seat passenger van, the Seasonal Shuttle Driver is responsible for safe and courteous transportation of guests between retail locations. As well as ensuring that every customer that enters our stores is treated professionally with the utmost quality of service. General tasks and responsibilities include:

Greets each customer at pickup location.

Shares Juneau and Brewery knowledge and history with guests during transport.

Follows all established procedures for Shuttle Drivers, including pre-trip inspections, designated routes, and accurate record-keeping.

Keeps all areas of the shuttle clean (including shuttle interior and windows) and maintains a pleasant environment.

In addition to the above responsibilities of the Shuttle Driver must also perform the following Retail Associate responsibilities:

Meet and greet customers in retail locations.

Actively engage customers in the merchandise buying process.

Operate retail cash register/POS system.

May be required to pour samples at hospitality bar. Required to diligently monitor liquor age requirements, customer consumption, and address issues that arise.

May be required to give guided tastings regularly with knowledge of the brewing process.

All Retail Associate’s must understand Alaskan beer products and brewery “story”.

Maintains retail area appearance. Daily janitorial duties are expected including vacuuming, mopping, scrubbing and cleaning, stocking restrooms with supplies, and other janitorial duties as assigned.

Must become knowledgeable about the merchandise in all retail stores.

Assist with keeping merchandise stocked, clean and organized.

Assist with folding and tagging.

May assist with merchandise receiving, folding and tagging.

May assist with inventory counts.

Must keep busy and be working at all times.

May be required to fill in other areas of production or administration.

Reporting to the Retail Supervisor, this person works as part of the retail team. Skills and knowledge needed to be successful in this position include:

Ability to communicate well with other people, both orally and in writing.

Physical ability to stack 40-pound cases to a height of seven feet and to lift kegs weighing up to 160 lbs.

Ability to perform repetitive lifting, building product displays and merchandising store.

Must have a current driver license and a clean driving record.

Excellent interpersonal and communications skills.

Cash handling skills.

Ability to set priorities and manage competing demands.
