Alaska Glacier Seafoods, Inc. has an opening for a front office administrative assistant. This is a fun and interactive job in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is dependable, enjoys working with people, detail oriented and can be flexible.
Job duties include:
Customer service & general functions of the main office
Assist with incoming customers and direct incoming phone calls
Provide local sales support
Assist with bait and Ice sales and restocking of inventory
Assist with property management
Provide purchase orders per company policy
Assist with incoming mail/freight
Book travel as needed
Filing and scanning
Data entry into QuickBooks
Assist with supply inventory and purchases, stock and organize upon delivery
Assist with Tenders (purchasing supplies, coordinating deliveries/pickup)
Provide additional backup & support to Management and other team members
Assist the owners with personal tasks
Assist with projects/tasks, as assigned
Qualifications:
Good phone and in-person communication skills
Familiar with computers, Google, Google Chat, Word, Excel
Available to work M-F 8-5, rotating Saturdays and overtime during the summer months if needed
Ability to take direction
Is resourceful and can problem solve
Can prioritize and follow through on multiple projects
Full training for this job will be provided.
Hourly wage will depend on the skills and experience the new hire brings with them.
