This high-visibility administrative position will support the Juneau Economic Development Council (JEDC) to ensure a smooth-running and professionally functioning office. This job is only open to Alaska residents.
Essential Job Functions
Provides general business support to include accounting tasks, office logistics/supplies, program activities, ad hoc projects, conference materials, equipment needs, and other duties as assigned.
Assists Executive Director, Business Manager, and JEDC Program Officers with routine tasks, community outreach, and special events.
Screens and directs calls.
Sets up conference calls and assist with phone-related staff requests.
Maintains staff and conference room calendars.
Creates monthly newsletters for various organizations.
Other tasks will include, at times, maintaining web sites and social media tools, planning and coordination some travel, and assisting with Board meetings.
Qualifications
Upbeat, helpful, organized, self-motivated, and able to relate with diverse groups of people.
Demonstrated excellence in verbal, written and phone communications skills.
Attention to detail and a commitment to completing projects on time.
Ability to multi-task and handle incoming requests for support from various JEDC staff members.
Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Access).
Familiarity with Sharepoint, QuickBooks, Adobe PageMaker is a plus.
Work Environment
Masks are required in the office and personnel are actively participating in social distancing.
Compensation and Benefits
