Job: Social Media and Marketing Manager
Timeframe: Year round, Starting ASAP
Location: Haines, Alaska
Pay Rate: Salaried Position DOE
Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Marketing or related field, prior experience in Facebook, Instagram, and Tiktok social media management for businesses. Experience editing videos. Knowledge of the outdoor industry and lingo.
Job Description:
We are a large company that operates under several different names and offers a wide variety of guiding services; everything from day tours for cruise ship passengers to taking guests to the summit on the highest peaks in the world. We are looking for someone to take control of our social media accounts on multiple platforms and reach new audiences both with regular posts and targeted ads. The ideal candidate for this position would be someone that is familiar with the guiding industry and has some field experience, as well as professional experience with social media management, google ads, content creation, videography and photography.
We already have a vast collection of photos and videos that can be used to promote the businesses, but during the certain months will also hire a videographer to go out on trips and capture additional footage. The social media and marketing manager would oversee this person and outline the shots they would like them to get.

Job Duties:
A Social Media Coordinator has several duties and responsibilities associated with researching and creating informed campaigns that appeal to a several target audiences, including:
Monitoring all social media content engagement.
Collaborating with guides to collect content they collect in the field.
Posting to each platform and all accounts 2-3 times a week.
Integrate our Instagram and Facebook accounts.
Create posting calendar and schedule for each company.
Creating a social media plan for each company outlining the target market for each and best way to reach them.
Tracking the performance of the campaigns.
Keeping up with technologies used in social media and editing software.
Explore additional platforms that could be used to promote the companies.
Using social media and google marketing tools and analytics to create targeted ads.
Tracking customer engagement and SEO to optimize campaign content.
Establishing relationships/networks of industry professionals or influencers on social media.
Weekly manager reports on the progress of the campaigns.
