Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head Grower to lead our cultivation operations. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding and extensive knowledge of cannabis cultivation techniques, and a proven track record of successfully managing large-scale grow operations. As the Head Grower, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the cultivation process, from seed to harvest, and ensuring the highest quality of cannabis production. Responsibilities:- Manage and supervise all cultivation activities, including planting, transplanting, feeding, watering, pruning, and harvesting.
- Develop and implement cultivation strategies to optimize plant health, growth, and yield.
- Monitor and maintain environmental conditions such as temperature, humidity, and lighting to create an optimal growing environment.
- Implement and manage pest and disease control strategies, including identification, prevention, and treatment.
- Oversee and manage the nutrient program, ensuring proper feeding schedules and nutrient formulations.
- Train and mentor cultivation team members, providing guidance and support to ensure the highest level of plant care.
- Conduct regular inspections and quality control checks to ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Maintain accurate records of cultivation activities, including plant inventory, nutrient schedules, and harvest yields.
- Collaborate with other departments such as processing, compliance, and management to ensure a smooth workflow and timely production.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, techniques, and regulations related to cannabis cultivation.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant state and local regulations governing cannabis cultivation.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Head Grower or similar role in a large-scale cannabis cultivation facility.
- Extensive knowledge of cannabis strains, genetics, and cultivation best practices.
- Strong understanding of plant care, propagation, and cultivation techniques.
- Familiarity with state and local regulations governing cannabis cultivation.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including standing, bending, and lifting heavy objects.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must have an Alaska Marijuana Handlers Permit
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
