Valley Medical Care is a full spectrum family medicine practice providing a wide range of acute, chronic, and preventive medical care services that include obstetrics, gynecology, pediatrics, outpatient procedures, and geriatric medicine to the individual and the family. Our care emphasizes disease prevention and healthy lifestyle promotion.
Works with all members of the healthcare team for the best outcomes for the patient and the company. Will perform phlebotomy services, specimen handling, utilize knowledge of department procedures and computerized LIS. Support patients with information and direction about laboratory services. Assists lab staff with patient care, directs reports to appropriate providers, performs data entry of patient demographics and tests ordered. Receives and processes specimens for transport. Receives supplies and stores appropriately. Receives and makes telephone calls, using computer terminal and reference guides to provide information regarding specimen requirements.
