Hospice and Home Care of Juneau (HHCJ) is a division of Catholic Community Service (CCS) providing in-home health and hospice care in Juneau. CCS is a regional, non-profit organization providing services to individuals and families throughout Southeast Alaska. In addition to our services in HHCJ, CCS has programs for seniors, children and families. We employ and serve people of all faiths and walks of life with dignity, care and compassion.

CCS’s Hospice and Home Care of Juneau program is looking for a full-time Assistant Clinical Manager. This position is will work closely with Clinical Manager.

(CCS is willing to consider part-time work for this position.)

Duties include, but are not limited to:

Review of referrals and conduct new RN admissions.

Assist with quality reviews and assures timely submission of required quality data.

Assist with review of all orders.

Schedule visits with patients.

Manage loan closet and assist with equipment coordination.

Provide back-up to Clinical Manager as needed and assume role when Clinical Manager is on vacation.

Participates in on-call rotation and PRN/emergency visits.

The right candidate will have the following knowledge, skills and abilities:

Sound clinical nursing skills.

Ability to understand and communicate/develop the broader picture of patient care.

Ability to communicate clearly in writing and verbally.

Ability to demonstrate time management and prioritize competing demands.

Ability to build and maintain relationship in the medical community.

Effective critical thinking skills

Complies with accepted professional standards and practices.

Clinical Manager Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing. BSN preferred.

Current RN license through the Alaska State Board of Nursing.

Three (3) years of experience in nursing. Home health and/or hospice experience preferred.

Valid driver license. Must own or have access to an automobile that is insured with state and/or organization requirements.

Compensation and Benefits

This position is a full-time, 37.5 hours a week. Starting wage DOE. Benefits include medical, dental, vision and life insurance, a 403(b) Thrift Savings Plan, Employee Assistance Program (EAP), Colonial Life Voluntary Benefits available, paid time off and 12 paid holidays annually.
