DescriptionCherry Bekaert is hiring for a Senior Accountant to join their nonprofit outsourced accounting and consulting team. This role is open due to growth. Outsourced Accounting is doing operation accounting ( GL, A/P, A/R, reconciliation, month end close ) for multiple clients. This is a fast-paced environment where you will have to juggle multiple items and projects daily. Those who thrive here are hard workers, efficient, and problem solvers.Responsibilities / Duties
Responsible for month end closing processes including approval of journal entries, account reconciliations and supporting account analysis.
Produces timely and accurate financial statements, compliant with generally accepted accounting principles, meeting corporate reporting requirements.
Participates in or directs the development of accounting policy and administers approved internal controls, accounting procedures and workflows.
Manages operational data and ensuring data integrity/accuracy, developing proper documentation, internal control and troubleshooting procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
CPA license is preferred
3-6 years of Accounting/Finance experience
Prior experience working with Nonprofit or Commercial industry
Mixture of public accounting and corporate accounting experience
Desire to be in fast growth environment and in a high visibility position
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and or Finance
