Our team is comprised of a dynamic group of product designers, researchers, visual designers, industrial designers, modelers, and project managers.We are looking for a seasoned digital designer to help shape the future of digital experiences for Ford and Lincoln vehicles. You will work with a cross-disciplinary team to create interfaces and experiences that meet customer expectations while providing a simple and intuitive interaction to the vehicle.The ideal candidate will work under our Core Apps team and support the design of in-vehicle digital experiences by:
Representing the human perspective throughout the product lifecycle - from problem framing, ideation, iterative design and development
Working as a collaborative team member across multiple design teams along with product owners, product managers and engineers
Guiding product decisions through a deep understanding of actual consumers who use our products and services and understanding of technical feasibility and implementation
Generating ideas and rapidly create and build prototypes to bring ideas to life in high-fidelity, to quickly evaluate and iterate
Designing, building and adapting design systems, components and prototypes that fit into a complex multi-modal experience
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in visual design, visual communications, or relevant design-driven discipline and/or 5+ years digital UX/UI design experience
3+ years of proficiency with a modern digital design tool stack (Figma, Rapid Prototyping, Design System Management)
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working independently with internal stakeholders and / or clients and managing feedback.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Passion for growing your skills, tackling interesting work and challenging problems; be committed to lifelong design learning.
Passionate about automotive and/or experience designing for integrated hardware/software systems.
Portfolio of design work that demonstrates depth of craft experience and strategic, human-centered approach to product design.
