Position Overview:

NorthStar Helicopters is seeking a professional individual to join our full-time management team. The tour manager is responsible for overseeing daily operations during the tour season. This includes oversight of staff throughout the day, scheduling, training, communications with the cruise lines, and maintaining a professional atmosphere while ensuring the utmost level of customer service. In the off-season, this position assists with hiring, and preparation for the upcoming tour season, as well as a myriad of additional duties and responsibilities.

This position works directly with the management team in order to coordinate smooth operations throughout the company.

The ideal candidate is flexible and works well in a team environment. Working independently and under pressure with deadlines are necessary. Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required.

Requirements & Qualifications:

-High school diploma

-Familiarity with aviation and or tourism is highly preferred

-Previous office experience

-Excellent customer service skills

-Exceptional communication skills

-Working knowledge of MS Office Suite (Excel, Word) and Google Workspace

-Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

-Must be highly organized and disciplined

-Proficiency with Fareharbor (or other online booking and/or point of sale system), is desired

-Working knowledge of social media platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, TripAdvisor is helpful

-Experience with Adobe (Photoshop, Lightroom) is preferred

Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

-Comply with and enforce company policies & protocol

-Seasonal employee hiring and training

-Management of the employee schedule

-Management of tour operations and employees

-Communications with cruise ships including email correspondence

-Cruise ship relations

-Familiarization Presentations with the cruise lines

-Oversight of office functions year round (reservations, phones, emails)

-Preparation of seasonal paperwork

-Oversight of gift shop inventory

-Annual tour gear inventory

Compensation: DOE, Salaried position, paid leave, 401k retirement plan and health insurance offered.
