Welder, Structural Welder, Production Welder
Position Overview:
Busy welding shop looking to fill a shop welder position. A positive attitude and team work ethic is highly regarded. Weld workmanship and quality is stringent. A written and physical weld test to be completed at the time of interview.
Duties:
Flux Core Arc Welding & MIG welding in the flat and horizontal positions
Vertical and overhead welding will be required after initial qualification
Preparing and setting up welding machine and/or cutting equipment
Safe operation of overhead crane and shop equipment
Proper use of hand tools, tape measure, speed square, grinder, etc.
Fitting or previous fabrication experience is preferred
Minimum Requirements:
Pass flat groove 1G weld test on 3/8” plate
Having the ability to count your work and consistently reproduce high quality welds is a necessity
Ability to read and understand drawings, weld symbols and blueprints
Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs occasionally, 20 to 30 pounds frequently, walk, stoop, squat, sit and kneel
You should be in good physical condition and be able to work in a fast paced environment
Our shop is team based so you must be reliable, arrive on time, and be ready to work
Must be able to understand and apply basic math
Ability to read & understand a tape measure
Ability to multitask, follow basic instructions and work independently
Must be able to communicate (speak, read, comprehend, write) in English
Compensation & Benefits:
$25 - $30 per hour depending on experience and weld test performance at the time of interview
10-hours per day 4-days per week (7:00 am to 5:30 pm M to Th) with the high possibility of overtime

Pre-Hire Screening:
Must have and bring to work a minimum required amount of tools
Must pass pre-employment drug screening (we do not test for THC)
o Marijuana use during work hours will not be tolerated and we have onsite rapid testing if necessary
Background check

Valid state driver’s license
